We filled the day with more of Amsterdam’s beaut We filled the day with more of Amsterdam’s beautiful neighborhoods and amazing art, but not shown in this reel is the difficult beginning and ending to the day, which wasn’t appropriate for filming. We stumbled upon the Holocaust Name Monument in the morning on our way to the @hart.museum and just…wow. Rows and rows of brick walls with a name on each brick was tough enough until I noticed some names of babies the ages of my nephews and lost my shit first thing in the morning. We also ended the day with a tour of the Anne Frank House, which is just staggering. We also went to the Dutch Resistance Museum, which is super cool and also pretty unbelievably unsettling to see in the wake of what is happening in the U.S. as well as G4za. We are averaging 10-15K steps a day so leg muscles I didn’t even know I had are so sore! 😩💪🏼 Also, I feel like I had written off Rembrandt because he wasn’t modern or edgy or colorful enough for me but the @hartmuseum officially has me OBSESSED. Do not sleep on that museum if you’re in the city. ❣️ Hope you’re enjoying traveling along with me! 💜

ALL THE ART MUSEUMS! I decided that original Van G ALL THE ART MUSEUMS! I decided that original Van Goghs deserved a dress so I’m so glad I picked one in my @nuuly this month for this trip! I thought I would be too exhausted to care about any more art by the time we got to the @mocomuseum but it was great. LOVE that 4 fantastic art museums are all clustered together like that. And they have such good cafes too! Perfect pick me ups along the way. Tomorrow we have even more on our list so stay tuned! 😘🎨🖼️🛍️ What’s the best art museum you’ve been to? Let me know!
After more than a decade of working with tarot, I’ve realized that I reach for my tarot cards most to accompany my dreaming and scheming. Reading tarot for ourselves can help in SO. MANY. WAYS. But for me, I am noticing that the cards help me get clear on what I truly and authentically desire, help me see the path forward, and bring limiting beliefs and old fears that may hold me back to my attention. Today we toured sites in and near the famous Red L Today we toured sites in and near the famous Red Light District, like the Royal Palace (all hail our newest heroine Queen Maxima - if you know you know) and a few really historical churches. Also, who knew Amsterdam was so dog-obsessed? So much fantastic dog watching is happening on this trip let me tell you. Also books. Also carbs. Oh my the carbs! Tomorrow I need to find a salad. We are spending the day in the Museumplein! Have you been to Amsterdam? What’s your must see for this city?
We made it to Amsterdam and our plan to skip a nig We made it to Amsterdam and our plan to skip a night’s sleep due to the time change and get tattoos right away worked out quite nicely! @studiosailor had a tarot deck in the waiting area and I drew Temperance right before I got my little tulip because 🌷Dutch Girl Summer.🌷Then these Angelenos even found amazing and authentic Mexican food a few doors down from our hotel! @lacondesa.ams is right by @thehoxtonhotel in De 9 Straatjes shopping area where we just walked around and got our bearings on Day 1. More tomorrow!
