There are SO many more things I want to tell you! There are SO many more things I want to tell you! But this is a reel so I had to pick a few and wrap it up. ๐Ÿ˜… Learn more on my blog, YouTube channel, or in my tarot course. All links available in my bio! ๐Ÿ”ฎ

If youโ€™ve been reading tarot cards for awhile, drop your โ€œwhat I wish I knewโ€ below!
When I was a lawyer, I experienced much glorificat When I was a lawyer, I experienced much glorification of a stoic, stone-cold, intellectual existence. We laughed at emotion and sentimentality as a sign of silliness and irrelevance to "the facts." I had a lot of unlearning to do when I quit and so I created this Heart Opener Tarot Spread to guide me through that. โ
โ
Here are the four tarot questions in this spread if you can't see them in the image:โ
โ
1. Why is my heart closed?โ
2. How can I open my heart?โ
3. How can I view the world through the eyes of love?โ
4. What will I be able to see as a result?โ
โ
Bonus: If you read these questions - especially 2 and 3 - and cringe with every fiber of your being (hi, it's former me! ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ) that probably means you especially could benefit from it, just as I did! ๐Ÿ’œโ
What are reversals? If youโ€™re new to tarot, reve What are reversals? If youโ€™re new to tarot, reversals refer to cards that come out upside-down. So does it mean anything when a card comes out reversed? And if so, how do we interpret tarot reversals?

There are four possible interpretations for reversals. (That I have commonly come across at least!) This post shows you just one of those ways. Scroll back on my feed for two others I posted earlier, or go through all of them on The Tarot Professor blog. Video included!

Do you read reversals? I actually keep my tarot cards going upright so I donโ€™t get reversals, but the other day I ended up holding the deck upside down! So everything was reversed and I decided it was meant to be so I went with it! ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜… Has that ever happened to you? Let me know how you work with reversals.
In the paraphrased words of Joseph Campbell, myths In the paraphrased words of Joseph Campbell, myths are not meant to be taken literally. They contain symbols which, by definition, stand in for something ELSE, usually an abstract quality, concept, idea, or condition.โ
โ
And in the paraphrased words of me, if your students aren't sick of symbolism by the time they're done with your class, are you even an English teacher?โ
โ
So it pains my heart when somebody draws the Empress card and settles for a literal, fortune-telling definition like, "Ooh, I see a pregnancy in your future." โ
โ
Pregnancy is a SYMBOL.โ
โ
Mothers are a SYMBOL.โ
โ
The womb is a SYMBOL.โ
โ
So is the Empress showing you a pregnancy, or is it showing you fertility and creativity more generally? โ
โ
So is the Empress showing you a mother, or is it showing you the need to nurture and nourish?โ
โ
So is the Empress showing you a womb? Or is it showing you that allowing the natural processes of the Universe to occur will make space for incubation and growth?
โ
Don't get me wrong - The Empress may mean giving birth to a child or becoming a parent for you. But only because that is ONE beautiful example of ALL that this tarot card represents. โ ๐Ÿ’–

These four animals were first seen together in a v These four animals were first seen together in a vision had by Ezekiel and then again by John in Revelation.

๐Ÿฆ THE LION REPRESENTS STRENGTH AND KINGSHIP;โ

๐Ÿ— THE OX REPRESENTS HUMBLE SERVICE;โ

๐Ÿ‘ค THE MAN REPRESENTS INTELLIGENCE AND REASON; ANDโ

๐Ÿฆ… AND THE EAGLE REPRESENTS DIVINITY AND SPIRIT.โ

Since the Major Arcana can be seen as the journey of our soul, perhaps it reflects the four aspects of our own divinity. The lessons we have to learn as the Wheel turns in order to gain the mastery of the World.
